Adjacent to the Barkers Island Inn is the Barkers Island Marina. A full service Wisconsin marina with 420 slips. Charter sailing, sailing classes, rentals, and fishing charters are available. Also on the Island is the Meteor Whaleback Ship Museum, Vista harbor cruises, and a public swimming beach.

Barkers Island is also the beginning of the Osaugie Multi-Purpose Trail. More than 5 miles of Bay View Trail for your walking, biking or snowmobiling pleasure. It is not uncommon to see foreign ships sail within 100 yards of the Island for your viewing pleasure.

For the shoppers, Mariner Mall is only minutes away as well as one of the Tri States largest shopping malls, Miller Hill Mall in Duluth. Several museums are nearby in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. Spirit Mountain skiing is 10 minutes away. Many other fantastic sites to see, include:
